Obituary
SUN PRAIRIE - Richard "Rick" Moling, age 62, of Sun Prairie, Wis., passed away on April 7, 2025, after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. He was born in Madison, Wis., to James and Correne (Olson) Moling.
Rick graduated from La Follette High School and Madison College. He had a lifelong passion for vehicles and spent his entire career as a fleet manager for several businesses, most recently with Madison Gas and Electric.
In 1996, Rick married the love of his life, Lisa (Bader) Moling, and together they have two children, Brianna and Luke. His favorite thing in the world was being a dad to his kids.
Rick was an avid Packers fan, and he had great enthusiasm for muscle cars and working in his garage. But more than anything, he cherished time with his family and friends-whether cheering at Packer games, going on road trips, attending car events, camping, or just enjoying each other's company.
Rick is survived by his wife, Lisa; children, Brianna and Luke; parents, Jim and Correne; sister, Cindy (Aric) Hessian; his best buddies, Leo and Rooster; and many nephews, nieces, and extended family.
Rick was selfless, humble and always striving to be a better person than the day before-a value he sought to pass on to his children. A dedicated Red Cross blood donor, he made nearly 500 donations over 40 years-totaling 61 gallons-many of which were apheresis for cancer patients. He had an incredible work ethic and remained committed to his job until the very end.
Per Rick's wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral. He would rather have people spend the time with family and friends. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Dane County Humane Society. And as always... Go Pack Go!
