Paul Robert Krueger, 64, of Stoughton, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully on April 5, 2025, surrounded by his loving family at UW Health East Madison Hospital.
Born on December 15, 1960, in Sycamore, Illinois to June and Ken, Paul lived a life full of love, laughter, and unwavering devotion to the things he cherished most: his family, basketball, and working outside.
On August 4, 1990, Paul married the love of his life, Colleen Ann Penny, in Sun Prairie, Wisconsin. Together, they built a beautiful life grounded in partnership and faith. Paul was a proud and devoted father to his daughter Nora (Steve) and his sons Zach (Maddy), Ty (Holly), and Nathan (Annie). Paul treasured time spent with his grandsons Halace, Anthony, and Sayer.
Paul will be remembered for his big heart, his sense of humor, and his passion for the simple joys of life: coaching and playing hoops, fishing the Wisconsin river, splitting wood, an ice-cold beer, or a Chicago dog. His larger-than-life personality, loyal spirit, and genuine goodness made an impact on everyone he encountered.
Visitation will be held on Friday, April 11th, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Gunderson Funeral Home, 1358 US-51, Stoughton, WI 53589.
Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM on Saturday morning, April 12th, at First Lutheran Church, 310 E Washington Street, Stoughton, WI 53589.
Paul is dearly missed, and his memory lives on in the hearts of all those who loved him so much.
