After working with you for a few months, I began to call you Grandma like everyone else in the Cage at HCG Madison. I continued to visit you in the Cage every chance I got especially if I knew for a fact that you would be there. I would walk up to your window and say “Hey Grandma” and you would speak and smile at me. I remember the looks that I got from people when I called you grandma, I always wanted to ask them “Don’t you see the resemblance” lol… you made sure to always ask how I was doing and how my children were doing and FOR THAT reason I love you!!! You made sure to tell the new cashiers “OH this is Larencia, she use to work here” this is kinda hard because I just talked with you a few weeks ago and you were in awesome spirits like always!! We agreed that God has plans for you and we need to trust the process!! I was in denial and said you not going anywhere even though you told me that your time was coming to an end. I love you and will forever miss you dearly. I appreciate you letting me know how important I was in your life and appreciate your family for calling me!! You definitely left a legacy behind and I want to thank your family for sharing you with so many people!! To the family, you all have my deepest condolences and if there is anything that I can do to make this process any easier, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me!!
