Obituary

OREGON- Timothy Ernest Sandlin, age 74, of Stoughton, passed away on Wednesday, March 19, 2025, at his home. He was born on October 25, 1950, in Champaign, Ill., the son of Ernest and Maxine (Wallace) Sandlin.


Timothy married Marijo (Reynolds) Sandlin on September 23, 1983, in Oregon, Wis. He was a graduate of MATC. Prior to retirement, he worked as a motor vehicle operator for UW-Madison. In his free time, he enjoyed attending bluegrass festivals and spending time with his family.


Timothy is survived by a granddaughter, Courtney (Martin) Havens; three grandsons, Brett (Brianna) Christensen, Miles (Ashley) Christensen and Eriq Christensen; sister, Janice (Mel) Pickarts; step-son, Jeff (Tammy) Christensen; 10 great-grandchildren, Michael, Ty, Jason, Skyler, Bryan, Cooper, Hunter, Emberly, Jaxon and Shelby; and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Marijo; and two brothers, Thomas Sandlin and Ty Sandlin.


A memorial service will be held at GUNDERSON OREGON FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 1150 Park St., Oregon, at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 19, 2025, with Pastor Sandra Schieble presiding. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Saturday.

Oh Timmy. I tried so hard to connect with you when I was home last time but I couldn’t find you. I wanted to tell you what a great friend you were while we were in high school and after I moved away in 1970. Every time I came back to Wisconsin I would head to your mom and dad’s house. You, Ty, and Janice along with your mom and dad were my second family. I love the memories. I met Tim in the summer of 2022 while both of us were at Nazareth rehab center in Stoughton. We started seeing each other November 2022 until he passed on. He was a wonderful man that made me feel safe, loved and made me laugh. I will greatly miss him!
