STOUGHTON - Brian Merton Graffin, age 59, of Stoughton, passed away on Friday, March 14, 2025. He was born on October 3, 1965, in Stoughton, Wis., the son of Merton and Corrine (Schmidt) Graffin.
Brian graduated from Stoughton High School and went on to marry Sarah Lomas Graffin on September 17, 1994, in Stoughton. He worked as a technician for AT&T until retiring in 2021.
An avid snowmobiler, Brian served as president of the snowmobile club for several years. He also had a passion for golf, enjoying annual summer golf trips with a group of friends. Brian played softball for many years on various teams and was a dedicated bowler in Stoughton. A true food enthusiast, he was known for his love of smoking and grilling, particularly his famous brisket. Brian was always willing to help his family and friends. Be it wrenching on snowmobiles or helping pull a vehicle out of a drift in a snowstorm.
Brian is survived by his wife, Sarah; step-daughter, Jessica (Brian) Schwoerer; step-son, Josh Bockhop; sister, Lisa Graffin; nephew, Alex Fillebrown; niece, Dana Fillebrown; grandchildren, Bryce Bockhop, and Koltan, Remi and Haisley Schwoerer; aunt, Myrna Viney; uncles, Gerald (Laura) Graffin, Dale (Diane) Schmidt and Donald (Jeanette) Schmidt; along with many cousins and dear friends. His beloved dog, Fanny, and cat, Odie, also brought him much joy. He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, several aunts and uncles and some good friends.
A funeral service will be held at GUNDERSON STOUGHTON FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 1358 Highway 51 N. at Jackson St., Stoughton, at 11 a.m. on Friday, March 21, 2025. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Thursday, March 20, 2025, and from 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Friday. Burial will take place at the Kroghville Cemetery. A celebration of life will be held at VFW POST No. 328, 200 Veterans Road, Stoughton, from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Saturday, April 12, 2025.
He is off to start another adventure with his friends in heaven having some Captain’s and many laughs. To all the BWH’s here, till we meet again (you guys know who you are).
