MOUNT HOREB - Patricia “Patsy” Steinhoff, age 71, of Mount Horeb, passed away on Wednesday, March 12, 2025, at St. Mary's Hospital. She was born on March 4, 1954, in Lancaster, the daughter of Lauren and Evelyn (Cejka) Taylor.


Patsy graduated from Lancaster High School in 1972. She was united in marriage to John Steinhoff, Jr. on June 20, 1970, in Lancaster, Wis. She worked as a florist for Madison area florists which brought her to many destinations within the United States as well as globally to set up displays.


Patsy loved gardening and spending time in her greenhouse. She enjoyed shopping, especially at Hobby Lobby where she was known by the staff on a first name basis. She loved bird watching and taking trips to the beach. But most of all, she cherished the time spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.


Patsy is survived by her three children, Eric (Nancy) Steinhoff, Nichole (Brad) Junck, and Jennifer (Mike Kersten) Schlicht; eight grandchildren, Logan Steinhoff, Miles Steinhoff, Ethan Steinhoff, Alli (Brandon) Cushman, Zach (Sierra Berg) Junck, Sydney (Nathan Simon) Schlicht, Gage Schlicht and Aubrey Schlicht; three great-grandchildren, Cason Cushman, Jennings Cushman and Frankie Simon; three brothers, Rodney (Kelly) Taylor, Bruce (Melinda) Taylor and Walt (Debbie) Taylor; two sisters, Sharon (Tom) Lind and Kathy (Ronnie) Wilson; and two sisters-in-law, Ann Miesen and Kim Coleman. Patsy is further survived by many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by husband, John; parents, Lauren and Evelyn; brother, Larry Taylor; sister, Sandy Taylor; mother-in-law, Lavon Kelly; and father-in-law, John Steinhoff, Sr.


A visitation will be held at GUNDERSON CAMACHO MOUNT HOREB FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 500 N. Eighth St., Mount Horeb, from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Tuesday, March 18, 2025. Online condolences may be made at www.gundersonfh.com.

Patsy was the catcher on our ball team and I was the pitcher. She called me “Chester” lol. That high pitched voice would holler “Cmon Chester pitch er in here”. She was a trip and a half and we loved her dearly!!!! Nobody could run the bases like a flash as fast as she did 😉. Such a good friend we will all miss.

Remember going to the farm with Grandmother Helen and uncle Jack rode horses, went in the tree house and games in the hay loft…you will be missed but a place always in my heart
