Obituary
MADISON - Judith “Judy” Ann McAusland, age 71, of Madison, passed away on Friday, February 28, 2025. She was born on March 15, 1953, in Madison, the daughter of James and Arlene (Kerl) McAusland.
She graduated from Madison West High School in 1971 and UW-Madison. Judy worked as an office worker for the State of Wisconsin, retiring after many years of service.
Judy was a faith-filled member of Good Shepherd Lutheran, where she participated in their Bible study and was active in "Naomi's Circle," the women's group at church. She was also a past president of the local Jaycees.
She will be fondly remembered for her adoration for and collection of penguins. She was an avid reader and always tried to keep her mind sharp through books and puzzles.
Judy is survived by her cousin, David (Becky) McAusland; and aunt, Doris McAusland; and other family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; uncles, Marvin (Mary) Kerl, Phil (Kay) McAusland, Douglas (Johanna) McAusland, and Robert McAusland; and aunts, Mary McAusland, and Helen (Lewis) Blossom.
A memorial service will be held at GOOD SHEPHERD LUTHERAN CHURCH-WEST CAMPUS, 7291 County Highway PD, Verona, at 11 a.m. on Thursday, March 27, 2025. Burial will be held at Middleton Junction Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Thursday.
