Obituary

LODI - Clifford W. Ballweg, age 86, of Lodi, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, February 26, 2025.

He was born on September 27, 1938, in Baraboo, WI, the son of William and Gertrude (Pulvermacher) Ballweg. On Oct. 7, 1961, he married Mary Ellen Treinen at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Lodi.


Cliff was a life-long farmer who loved what he did. He looked forward to driving his four-wheeler around the farm and daily country rides but enjoyed most spending time with his family.


In addition to Mary Ellen, his wife of 63 years, survivors include his two daughters, Laurie (Lance) Kuehn and Connie (John) Wilson; his son, Jim Ballweg; four grandchildren, Luke (Victoria) Kuehn, Lindsay (Corey) Nelson, Tony (fiancée, Amber Brockman) Wilson and Carlie (fiancé, Jeremy Hillestad) Wilson; great-grandchildren, Aiden, Aubrey and Austin Kuehn and Cameron Nelson; his brother, Duane (Carol) Ballweg; brother-in-law, Tom (Jeanette) Treinen; and other relatives and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and his in-laws, Vince (Marian) Treinen and Joan (Richard) Trick.


A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at ST. MAXIMILIAN KOLBE PASTORATE AT ST. PATRICK CHURCH, 521 Fair St., Lodi, at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, March 7, 2025, with Rev. Fr. Joseph Baker presiding.  Burial will be held at Garden Bluff Cemetery. Visitation will be held at church from 9:00 am until the time of Mass on Friday.
