My husband Rodney ripp and our daughters use to spend many weekends with the Dillmans on camping trips. What a wonderful family. Rodney worked at Krogers where Dave senior worked. I remember one fun weekend where there was a swimming pool. Everyone was swimming and Dave senior dove in the pool and lost his swimming trunks. He was so embarrassed and we all laughed so hard. I don’t think anyone ever let him forget that. We all had a lot of fun together and very happy memories. May God bless them all Martha Ripp. RIP ❤️🙏

I sure enjoyed time spent with Dave after meeting him in about 2010. Smart guy and willing to teach about cars. Kind man he was.

Kay, I’m so sorry you lost the love of your life. My heart goes out to you and your family. This is tough. I am glad I got to see him last August. He was a good guy. I met him in grade school…wow, such a long time ago. He turned into a kind, genuinely nice adult and was always fun to talk to. We’ve shared our stories at those multi class reunions too. I hope you come this summer. It’s a lot of adjustment but I’m sure I’m not the only one who wants to give you a hug. My deepest sympathies to you Kay. I’m so sorry….

I first met Dave when he was working for Chris Beebe at Foreign Car Specialist in the early 80s. I liked him immediately. We reconnected when he was working at the automotive parts store in Brookwood Plaza. We'd talk cars, motorcycles and all of the important things in life. Many years later I ran into Dave at MATC when he was visiting his brother, and my colleague, Doug. We had a big hug and Doug kept saying, "Wait a minute, you know Dave? You know Dave?" Indeed I did. Lovely guy.I am so sorry for your loss.
