Obituary

MADISON - Lynn Wayne Moldenhauer, age 66, of Madison, passed away on Friday, February 21, 2025, at UW Hospital and Clinics. He was born on August 7, 1958, in Fort Atkinson, the son of Wayne and Beatrice (Herold) Moldenhauer.

Lynn graduated from Lake Mills High School and went on to attend UW-Whitewater. He married Kris Anderson on October 16, 1993, at St. Andrews in Racine. He worked for Zimbrick for 35 years, retiring in 2023.

Lynn was an avid reader, and he enjoyed spending time putting puzzles together. He was always willing to play tennis with his son, Jack, loved bike riding around the Madison Lakes with his daughter, Sara, and could often be found out on the greens for a round of golf. Lynn and Kris spent their time together attending art fairs, concerts, and theatre productions. Participating in activities with his loved ones was important to Lynn. He was a family man and a provider who took wonderful care of Kris and his children.

Lynn is survived by his wife, Kris; daughter, Sara (Gable Smith) Moldenhauer; son, Jack Moldenhauer; parents, Wayne and Beatrice; four brothers, Jerry (Deb Janz) Moldenhauer, Del (Janet) Moldenhauer, Jon (Angie) Moldenhauer and Scot (Liz) Moldenhauer; and numerous nieces and nephews.

I remember working at Zimbrick with Lynn. He would always talk to me about his landscaping projects. He once asked me to help him gather several newspapers so he could place them in his backyard. He seemed very excited to work on his project so, at the end of my shift I collected all the newspapers I could find and gave it to him the next morning. He showed me progress pictures and the results were beautiful. Lynn, you will be missed. Rest in peace <3
