Darlene Joyce Joosten

I will always remember our fun times at the lake just her and I. We would stop at the Michigan City Mall to do a little shopping and lunch of course and stop at Martin’s to pick up dinner. Breakfast was in Three Oaks and of course White Castle for lunch! Lots of laughs and memories! 😅🥰

Darlene was a wonderful volunteer at Hawthorne Elementary ~ even long after Ryan had moved on! She was very caring and committed, and Mary and I greatly appreciated having her weekly assistance in our classroom. I treasure a wonderful Christmas ornament that she made me one year ~ it has a prominent place on our tree every year. My heartfelt condolences to Jeanine, Kevin and Ryan at this sad time. I’m very sorry to hear of Darlene’s passing. I work at the library and Darlene was one of my favorites. I once gave her a pin with her name on it and she told me she would wear it when she volunteered at her grandsons school. 💗 May her memory bless you. Sarah Bukrey
