Obituary

MADISON - Beth A. Dorschner, age 76, a longtime Madison resident, died peacefully on Sunday, January 26, 2025, at home after a short battle against pancreatic cancer. She was born in New London, Wis., on February 13, 1948, the daughter of Ronald and Anita (Rohloff) Dorschner.


Beth worked for the State of Wisconsin for over 30 years. She loved to garden, spend time in nature, try new restaurants and especially spending time with family and friends.


Beth is survived by her daughter, Nikki Kenyatta, and many family and friends who will cherish her memory.


In accordance with Beth’s wishes, there will be no services at this time.


The family wishes to thank the staff of Agrace HospiceCare for all of their wonderful care and support given to Beth and Nikki.

there were a number of years I worked for the State. She was a fine person and fine coworker. I am sure she will be missed by many and especially remember her face lighting up speaking of her daughter.

I met Beth when working on joint projects with the State of Wisconsin, and she was always helpful and kind and to the point. I think I later ran into her regularly at the farmer's market which was a nice surprise. Sending good thoughts to her family.

My sincere condolences, Beth will be greatly missed. She had such a powerful spark to her. We had the privilege of getting to know her through co owning the condo building with her. She loved her plants, her home, her community, her friends and her family so dearly. She was always quick to laugh and smart as a whip. We were so fortunate to have been able to know her. I miss Beth's ascerbic sense of humor and wicked play at our monthly sheepshead games. I think of her often. Nikki, if you read this, I am so sorry for your loss. Beth had a wonderful laugh and was quick to use it. She didn’t suffer fools but was empathetic to those in need. Her expressions of love for Nicole were forever forthcoming. Beth regularly joined former colleagues at our 4-6 pm “Fifth Tuesday” party at Memorial Union. Hey Sherlock, we’re the ones with gray hair.
