Bruce Morgan

Obituary

Bruce Morgan, age 64, of Lodi, Wisconsin, passed away suddenly on Thursday, January 23, 2025. Bruce was born on January 1, 1961, to Vernon Morgan and Margaret Langrehr. He grew up in Middleton, Wisconsin, where he attended high school.

He is going to be sadly missed by the love of his life, his wife, Kristine Anderson-Morgan; sons, Jakob and Jason Morgan; and daughter, Justine “Beanie” Morgan of Lodi. He is further survived by his sister, Sharon Morgan; mother-in-law, Lynn Anderson (Peterson); sisters-in-law, Jane Anderson (Tom Frozena), Paula (Xiong) Vang, and Monica (Shawn) Kislan; and nieces and nephews, Lucas Morgan, Michelle (Mike) Skeie, and Michael and Nicholas Vang. He is also survived by many four-legged family members, Dexter, Maddy, Gary, and Alex.

Bruce found what he enjoyed doing at a young age. When he was only 14 years old, he started working at his family's grocery store, Morgan’s Midvale IGA, in Madison, Wisconsin. By the time he retired in 2022 he had worked at the Piggly Wiggly in Poynette, Wisconsin as the Meat Department Manager for over 25 years.

Bruce married his wife, Kristine Anderson-Morgan, on September 6, 1997, in Lodi and were blessed to be able to spend 27 years together.

Bruce loved life. In his early years he enjoyed fishing, especially ice fishing, and hunting with his family and friends. Later in life, he enjoyed family vacations and spending time outdoors while camping and sitting around a fire with his children and wife. Bruce had a love for food and always enjoyed trying new recipes, but he really enjoyed making his classic dishes, especially his chili. He loved to watch football and had a special love for watching the Packer games. He also loved to spend time with his fur family. More than anything, Bruce enjoyed spending time and being around his family and loved ones whenever he could.

Bruce was preceded in death by his parents, Vernon Morgan and Margaret Langrehr; his father-in-law, Elton Anderson; his stepfather, Hilbert “Fred” Langrehr; and his brother-in-law, David Anderson.

A celebration of his life will be held at KD’s Bar and Grill, 1434 Fair St, Lodi, WI 53555, from 11am to 5 pm on Saturday, February 1, 2025. In lieu of flowers, we are asking people to make donations to The American Heart Association (https://ahatribute.funraise.org/fundraiser/bruce-morgan).

I am so sorry for your loss of a cherished family member. I knew Bruce and family when they lived in La Crosse WI and for many years after. We attended many Badger football games with his parents Vern and Marge. Wonderful memories to cherish. Rest in peace Bruce. My sincere sympathy. Hugs and love. June

Though I never got to know you as well as I would have liked, I know you raised wonderful sons. Fair winds and following seas, my friend.

We were neighbors with the Morgan’s quite a while ago. Still, I will never forget Bruces smile and happy nature. My father always said Bruce made the best brats! I send my condolences to his family and friends. I hope they find peace during this trying time. I will remember the gift of his smile.
