MADISON - Kathleen Ann “Kathy” Stewart, age 75, of Madison, passed away on Thursday, January 23, 2025, at her home surrounded by her family. She was born on September 8, 1949, in Dodgeville, Wis., the daughter of William and Alice (Olson) Olson.
Kathy graduated from Central High School in 1967. She married Bruce Stewart on May 29, 1971, in Madison, Wisconsin. In addition to raising their daughter Tara. Kathy enjoyed a career as a supervisor for Marshall Erdman & Associates and ended her career working with her nieces and daughter at Trending Now Promotions.
In her free time, Kathy enjoyed reading, going to car shows all over the country, classic cars, listening to 50s and 60s music, and gambling. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Her family was everything to her. She also loved her puppies, Zoey and Bootsy.
Kathy is survived by her husband of 53 years, Bruce; daughter, Tara (Brian) Peck; granddaughter, Marissa Peck; grandsons, Ramsy Peck and Kyler Peck; great-grandchildren, Kian Peck, Aniyah Peck and Scarlett Barlow; sister, Lisa (Mike) O'Brien; brother, Rick (Tracey) Olson; brother-in-law, Rodney (Linda) Stewart; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Ronnie Olson and Terry Olson; mother-in-law, Marion Stewart; and brothers-in-law, Mark Stewart and Terrie Stewart.
A funeral service will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, January 29, 2025, with the Rev. Andy Twiton presiding. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 12 noon until the time of the service on Wednesday.
She was such an incredibly strong, beautiful soul with so much love for all of us. She was such an incredible wife, mother, grandma, sister, and aunt, and she was and always will be her daughter's best friend and inspiration.
