I worked with Ray at the Maple Bluff country club in the late 1980s, as line cook and kitchen manager. He was a good mentor, and I have fond memories of those years. Rest in peace, chef Ray! Bob Wright

Just a few words about our time together... We had over 20 years together - some were a struggle since we were total opposites in so many ways. But we learned a lot from each other.. I learned about photography, color, music; Ray learned about fitting in to my large wonderful family. It was hard for him, but he worked at it. We both loved Our Savior's Church and made special friends there including some incredible pastors.Ray's health has been failing over the last 2 years, but he was never resigned to sit around and feel sorry for himself. He often remarked about how happy he was being able to live together in our home. He was especially wonderrful about showing his appreciation for the many tasks I did to make him comfortable as his health weakened. I am fortunate and thankful to have had him in my life. Diane
