Obituary

OREGON - Andrea Pauline “Andie” Schorrak, age 80, of Oregon, passed away on Tuesday, January 21, 2025, at St. Mary's Hospital. She was born on December 31, 1944, in Milwaukee, the daughter of Eugene and Anastasia (Malkowski) Groblewski.

Andie grew up in Milwaukee and graduated from Bayview High School in Milwaukee in 1962. She always considered Milwaukee home and loved being involved in the community. Andie loved being able to stay at home to raise her children when they were young. She enjoyed volunteering at her daughters’ school and teaching Sunday school. Later, she worked as an office manager, retiring in 2009.

Andie will be fondly remembered as a people person and very welcoming; one who never hesitated to invite others into her family and home. She was a wonderful mom to all and a great sister. She loved hosting gatherings and spent hours preparing meals. She always made sure to have an abundance of food, so leftovers could be shared with her family and friends.

In her free time, Andie enjoyed knitting and made blankets for many people. She loved going to the Overture Center to watch Broadway shows, where she was a season ticket holder for many years. Andie was a member of Oregon Senior Center and made many lasting friendships. She was a lover of animals, especially dogs and cats.

Andrea is survived by her daughters, Laura (Shawn Gardner) Schorrak and Jennifer (William) Christianson; granddaughter, Lauryn Christianson; brother, Russell (Jane) Groblewski; three nieces, Meg (Ryan) Porter, Bethe Campbell and Heidi Nehring; nephew, Jonathan (Jill) Nehring; and sister-in-law, Beverly (James) Nehring. She was preceded in death by her parents; and infant son, Marc Schorrak.

A celebration of life will be held at GUNDERSON OREGON FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 1150 Park St., Oregon, from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. on Saturday, February 1, 2025.

Memorials may be gifted in Andie's memory to Czar's Promise or Oregon Senior Center. Online condolences may be made at www.gundersonfh.com.
