MIDDLETON - June Eileen Longfield, age 93, of Middleton, passed away on Monday, January 13, 2025, at Meriter Hospital in Madison, Wis. She was born on October 2, 1931, in Evanston, Ill., the daughter of Homer and Marie (Richards) Middleton.
June graduated from East High School in 1949 and attended Stephens College in Columbia, Mo. She married Samuel Longfield, "the boy across the street," in 1951. They spent many happy years in Farmington Hills, Mich., before returning "home" to Madison in 1998. June was an avid and skilled golfer and bridge player.
June is survived by her children, Bruce (Jane) Longfield and Susan Longfield; grandchildren, Sarah and Adam Longfield; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Longfield; her sister, Joan (Kenneth) Beier; and brother, Tom (Sandy) Middleton.
A family burial service will be held graveside at a later date.
