Obituary

OREGON - Jerome A. “Jerry” Hutter, age 78, of Oregon, passed away on Monday, January 6, 2025, in Madison. He was born on December 3, 1946, in Ripon, the son of Clarence and Kathryn (Fries) Hutter.


Jerry graduated from Brandon High School in 1965. He proudly served in the U.S. Air Force from 1966 until 1970 in Panama City, Fla. He was united in marriage to Terri Hutter on October 27, 1979, in Wausaukee. Jerry worked at Electric Motors Unlimited in Madison, from 1979-2020, retiring after 41 years of service. He was active with the Special Olympics and was an avid Wisconsin sports and Green Bay Packers fan.


Jerry was a wonderful husband, father and son. There was no one he loved more than his son, Richard. Together, they loved going for drives and eating at Culvers. Jerry was very loyal to his son, who loved him very much.


Jerry will be deeply missed by his wife, Terri Hutter of Oregon; son, Richard Hutter of Madison; sister, Barb McDowell of Beaver Dam; sister-in-law, Debbie Schmidt of Algoma; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Pat McKenzie; brother, Bob Hutter; sisters-in-law, Toni Hutter and Marge Eiche; and brothers-in-law, Bill Kirchberg, Charles Schmidt, James Eiche, and John Schmidt.


Per Jerry’s wishes no services will be held.
