Obituary

SUN PRAIRIE - Kimberly L. Statz, age 66, a Madison native, passed away Friday, January 3, 2025, peacefully in her home. She was born on March 29, 1958, to parents Kenneth and Rosemary (Kruck) Statz.

Kimberly attended West High School. Shortly after, she met her forever partner, Alvin, playing billiards. Aside from his charm and smile, his red platform shoes were one of the many reasons she fell in love with his one-of-a-kind personality, inevitably evolving into her becoming a dedicated wife.

She enjoyed her career as a CNA, as caring and helping others came naturally to her. Kimberly instinctively assumed the care of her mother before becoming a devoted mother herself. Not only did she love and cherish her four children, but she welcomed anyone in as her own. Kimberly showed her love in many ways, but nothing compared to the love that she put into her home cooked meals. Her joy for animals was present, especially with her beloved dogs, Sadie, Zoey, and Lexi. Kimberly sincerely appreciated the simple things in life whether it be a cup of coffee or a good laugh. She was ecstatic when she was blessed with the beautiful role of grandmother. She was the literal glue to her family, despite enduring various tribulations no one could ever imagine. Her strength and optimism never wavered and her love always held strong. She will be missed by everyone she came across in her all-encompassing life.

Kimberly is survived by her husband, Alvin Huddleston; sons, Austin (Samantha Grindle) Huddleston, Aaron (Jessica Rosas) Huddleston and Alek Huddleston; daughter, Alyssa Huddleston; grandchildren, Kaylee Huddleston, Lilyana Huddleston and Zayden Huddleston; sister, Jody (Jon-Paul Weedon) Combs; niece, Jenna Wade and her children Jayla Daggett and Justys Watkins; nephew, Jeffrey Combs, Jr.; other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; and niece, Jordan Combs.

Rest easy, mama.

Kimberly was my mother for the 32 years I've been on this earth. She was an incredible woman with a heart of gold! One of the toughest women I've ever met but ultimately full of love! She had love to share with anyone who came in contact with her and she got to know. She was generous and caring and was a devoted wife to my father for decades. I love you Mama, and I will forever miss you! I know you are now in a better place and you are resting easy! From your beloved son, Alek. 🙏

Aunt Kimmy my world won’t be the same without you. You were a second mom to me and took me in like I was your own. I’m going to miss you so much, I already do. I promise to use all the tools and values you have installed in me. I promise to always be kind to others like you showed us on a daily basis. I promise to make more memories and carry on all our family traditions. I know you we always be with us! Love you, Jenna Benna
