Born in Everett, Wash., Sharon’s family lived there briefly while her father was a carpenter working in the shipyards during World War II.  They returned home to Middleton where Sharon grew up and spent the rest of her life.  A 1962 graduate of Middleton High School, Sharon also took classes at Madison Vocational School.  She spent most of her career working for and eventually retiring from CUNA Mutual Insurance Company in Madison.

A loyal resident of Middleton, Sharon was a talented ceramic maker.  She enjoyed watching sports, especially cheering for the Wisconsin Badgers, Middleton Cardinals, and Green Bay Packers.  She also enjoyed traveling to many places, including the Vatican.

As a member of St. Bernard’s Parish in Middleton, Sharon was dedicated to family, friends, and faith.  She took great pride in the accomplishments of her family and loved ones.  Her humor, kindness, and loving spirit will live long in the memory of her family and friends.

Our sympathy to all of Sharon’s family and friends. I was a year ahead of Sharon but got to know her a little when she visited her grandma Dresen in Martinsville. My parents owned the store and tavern in Martinsville. Ann (Pulvermacher) and Glenn Johnston

My condolences to Sharon’s family and friends. I worked along side her for a number of years. She was one of the hardest working people there. Always keeping her candy drawer filled to the delight of her co-workers, She was part of our close CUNA lunch group so I knew her well. And always the kindest, most considerate person. May she rest in peace.

My favorite memories of Sharon are going to Chicago for the Cubs games. We always had so much fun. I enjoyed working with her at CUNA Mutual and being her friend.
