CAMBRIDGE - Aaron Christopher Robbins, age 41, of Cambridge, WI, passed away on Monday, December 30, 2024. He was born on September 27, 1983, in Madison, the son of William and Christine (McMillan) Robbins.


Aaron graduated from La Follette High School in 2002 and then enlisted into the U.S. Air Force, serving from 2003 until 2007.  Following his time in the service, Aaron returned home with a goal of becoming an electrical engineer.  He received his Associate Degree from Madison Area Technical College in 2009 then graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering from Milwaukee School of Engineering in 2011.  Aaron enjoyed working at his current employment as an electrical engineer for NorthStar Medical Radioisotopes LLC. He was a member of the Severson-Cairns American Legion Post 501, and the Sons of American Legion Squadron 501.


Aaron was a loving father to his son, William, and a loving son to his parents. Aaron especially enjoyed time spent with his brothers, Eric & Jonathan. He was a wonderful mentor to his son and worked closely with him on his schoolwork and other activities. Aaron loved spending time with his family and friends, fishing in Canada with his mom, dad, and brother, Jonathan, especially going to the annual family grouse hunting trip up north. As a young boy Aaron was a Boy Scout, but his love for hockey lead him to skate with the Madison Patriots Youth Hockey team. He also enjoyed playing soccer and with his guitar.


Aaron is survived by his parents, William L. and Christine M. Robbins; son, William D. Robbins (mother, Suzette Natvig); brother, Eric Robbins; niece, Violet; nephew, Maxwell; significant other, Natalie Barth; aunt, Barbara Robbins, great-aunt, LaRaine (Dillman) Chapman; and many other caring aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his brother, Jonathan Robbins; grandparents, James and Dorothy (Dillman) McMillan, and Lawrence and Arlene (Hovde) Robbins.

I only had the chance to work with Aaron for a relatively short time, but I remember him for always being kind, mindful of other's feelings, and for always trying in good will to do better even if he wasn't quite sure how yet. I was saddened to hear about his passing. A handful of times in friendly conversation he shared stories about his son and his fiancée — they, along with his parents and family, are in my thoughts. I hope they'll find the inner strength to navigate such a difficult time; my condolences and sincere best wishes go to you.

I was deeply saddened to hear about Aaron’s passing. I had the pleasure of working with Aaron since 2020 and I can truly say he was always someone I looked forward to interacting with. We both shared our love for the outdoors and I enjoyed hearing about the annual grouse hunt (or walk through the woods as he would describe it). I will miss these chats with Aaron. My heart goes out to Aaron’s family and loved ones.

Aaron was one of the first people I met when starting my position at NorthStar three-and-change years ago. Although we didn't know each other well, I feel compelled to share that he always treated me like a friend and with warm familiarity. Our exchanges never felt like the obligatory small talk that gets one by during the work day. There was always something more in his tone, smile, and banter. I very much enjoyed his personality and sense of humor. I wish his family the best.

I had the privilege of working with Aaron for the last 3 years at NorthStar on multiple projects, and he truly left a lasting impression on me and everyone he worked with. One memory that stands out is when Aaron took up the responsibility by going out of his way to mentor new team members about GMP regulations on computer systems, offering support and encouragement that made all the difference. His generosity and patience were unmatched. Aaron had a way of making the workplace brighter and his warmth, dedication, and kindness touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. Aaron will be greatly missed, but his impact on those of us who knew him will not be forgotten. I am so sorry to hear about Aaron's passing. Aaron was an incredible colleague and an even better person. I hope the family find comfort in the wonderful memories he left behind and the positive impact he had on so many lives. My thoughts are with the family as they navigate through this loss. Stay strong.

I am deeply saddened over the loss of Aaron unexpectedly. My condolences to Aaron's son and family! Aaron was a great colleague to work with, calm but fun, intelligent, respectful, and super dedicated. It was my privilege to work with Aaron on a project over three years ago, but I still vividly remember everything we did from making corrections to the documents, the drawings while we were in the "pool area" - a temporary office space with a whole bunch of desks and chairs that a few of us shared at that time, to performing the system testing in the "Control Room". It was a lot of work for us in a demanding time, but we were driven and happily getting things done timely as expected. Funnily, we were talking about his new hairstyle during COVID time! I just recently came back to Beloit to work a few months ago but met Aaron a few times when he was in Beloit facility. He gave me a tour to see his team's offices and lab and introduced me to each member. Truly, he was very proud of the Automation Team. The last time, Aaron stopped by the office that I shared with another colleague about three weeks ago. The three of us shared some cheerful conversations while he was waiting for his upcoming meeting. Honorably, I shall forever treasure those great memories that Aaron shared with me. Aaron, you will be sorely missed! Your friend.
