Kenneth Phillip Bavery

BELLEVILLE - Kenneth Phillip Bavery, age 84, of Belleville, passed away on Tuesday, December 31, 2024, at Agrace HospiceCare. He was born on December 6, 1940, in Madison, the son of Alvin and Frances (Richardson) Bavery.

Kenneth graduated from Oregon High School in the class of 1959.  He married Yvonne Hallett on May 13, 1961, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Madison. Kenneth was self-employed as a farmer and mechanic. He loved racing and working on his cars.

Kenneth is survived by his wife, Yvonne; three sons, Dean (Angie) Bavery, Dale (Charlotte) Bavery and Darin (Gidget) Bavery; two daughters, Dee Ann (Dwayne) Schultz and Darlene (Mark) DiMaggio; grandchildren, De, Erin (Matt), Jeff (Ritzi), Andrew (Hillary), Anna (Kaelene), Austin, Cort (Rhea), Colton (Megan), Dylan (Katelyn) and Carson; nine great-grandchildren, Arthur, Levi, Emma, Kayden, Easton, Sebastian, Shay, Weston and Clara; siblings, Gloria (Arlen) Christensen, Marlin, Beverly Bossingham and Dennis (Deb); sister-in-law, Barbara (Ted) Perdelwitz; and brothers-in-law, David Hallett and Roger Schultz.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Frances and Alvin; sister-in-law, Nancy Schultz; father-in-law, Wayne Hallett; mother-in-law, Louise Hallett; son-in-law, Don Grawehr; and niece and nephew, Robin and Brett Bavery.

A funeral service will be held at GUNDERSON OREGON FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 1150 Park St., Oregon, at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, January 7, 2025. A visitation will be held at the funeral home from 9 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will take place at Oak Hall Cemetery, Fitchburg. A Celebration of Ken’s life will be held at a later date.
