LODI - Margaret "Peg" Bishop, age 90, peacefully passed away on Thursday, January 9, 2025, at Agrace HospiceCare.
She was born on June 9, 1934, in Viroqua, WI, the daughter of Robert and Alice (Woodhead) Johnson.
Peg married Gaylord Daughabaugh on Feb. 24, 1951, in Viroqua, WI. He preceded her in death on Feb. 24, 1995. She was then united in marriage to James Bishop on June 1, 2001, in LaFarge, WI. Jim preceded her in death on Nov. 8, 2008.
When working, Peg was employed as a Purchasing Agent with Manchester's Dept. Store in Madison.
She was a member of Lodi United Methodist Church and it’s United Methodist Women and was involved with many church activities.
Peg had a variety of interests that included bowling, needlepoint, traveling throughout the U.S., playing cards with friends, but enjoyed most spending time with family.
Survivors include her sons, Den (Hootann), and Tim Daughabaugh; her grandchildren, Jody Thayer, Tim Weyers, Jayson (Wendy) Daughabaugh, Robbie (Angie) Daughabaugh, Brittny Daughabaugh, Cady (Jason) Thomas, Haylee Daughabaugh; nine great-grandchildren, 5 great-great-grandchildren and other relative and many friends.
In addition to her husbands, she was preceded in death by her parents; her daughter and son-in-law, Kimberly and Mark Weyers; and three brothers and six sisters.
Funeral Service will be held at LODI UNITED METHODIST CHURCH, 130 Locust St., Lodi, at 10:00 am on Saturday January 18, 2025, with Rev. Carlos Carega presiding. Visitation will be held at church from 9:00 am until the time of service on Saturday. Burial will be in Bear Creek Cemetery in LaFarge, Wi at 1:30 pm.
The family would like to thank Peg's great-grandaughter, Ashley Thayer for always making herself available for whatever Peg needed.
