TOWN OF WESTPORT - Bonnie Lurine (Utter) Peterson, age 80, passed away on Thursday, December 19, 2024, at Agrace HospiceCare. She lived in the Town of Westport, a suburb of Waunakee, Wis.
Bonnie was born on March 12, 1944, in Madison, Wis., to Elmer and Virginia (Hatch) Utter. She graduated from Madison Central High School in 1963. She married her high school sweetheart, Ted Peterson, on February 11, 1965, at St. James Catholic Church in Madison, Wis. Bonnie was a member of Plymouth Congregational United Church of Christ in Madison.
Bonnie is survived by her husband, Ted; two children, Michel (partner, Gregg) and Frederick (wife, Dana); grandsons, Cooper and Charlie; granddaughters Carli (Cody) and Samantha (Tyler); and great-grandson Callen; sisters, Margaret “Peg” (Phil) Croom and Jean Utter; and brother, Clair “Bud” (Jackie) Utter. She was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer and Virginia; sister, Alice Westbury (August 19, 1989); and brother, Frederick (September 6, 2018).
A funeral service will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, December 28, 2024. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Saturday. Bonnie will be laid to rest at Sunset Memory Gardens next to her mother, father, and sister, Alice.
