Obituary

MADISON - Jacalyn Ann “Jackie” (Krall) Hansen was born on January 4, 1985, and joined her angels-son, Dex, and mother, Kim, -in heaven on December 14, 2024, just before her 40th birthday.

Jackie not only loved to sing, but she had a beautiful voice to go with her passion for music. She spent every day loving her dog, Rudy, and looked forward to cruising the lakes on her boat in the summertime. As the oldest sibling, she enjoyed being the leader of the “pack” and made sure to keep her younger siblings in-line as big sisters do. Some of her favorite weekends were spent in La Crosse at Oktoberfest with “The Blueshirts.” Her infectious laugh will be greatly missed by so many.

Jackie graduated from La Follette High School in 2003 and the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire in 2007, with a degree in Marketing. She spent the majority of her professional career at Grainger Industrial Supply.

Jackie was preceded in death by her mother, Kimberly Krall; and son, Dex Hansen. She is survived by her father, Lyle; partner, Scott Hansen; siblings, Alex Krall, Kelsey (Nick) Ferguson and Jordan Krall; nephews, Oliver and Morgan Ferguson; several aunts, uncles and cousins; as well as her dog, Rudy.

A celebration of life will take place at THE EAST SIDE CLUB, 3735 Monona Drive, Madison, with a visitation from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Saturday, January 4, 2025, drinks and appetizers will be served until midnight.

Lyle, I'm so very sorry about the recent passing of your beautiful daughter, Jackie, your grandson Dex, and your wife Kim. There are no words for such a tragedy. I really believe your loved ones are united in heaven, and I hope you can find strength in that belief.

I had the privilege of working with Jackie at United Way. We bonded immediately. She had a zest for life like no other and an infectious laugh. And what a talented singer. We had so much fun at karaoke. While we didn't keep in touch I often still thought of her. She will be missed. I'm sure she's smiling. Char

I am sooo sorry for everyone’s loss in the family I know this one hits very hard for everyone as Jackie was so young, and beautiful and so much more life to live. I will forever miss her beautiful smile and her beautiful voice. I remember as kids going to the karaoke kid with kim and jackie all the time and we had such a blast getting up there and singing. We had so many memories together I can’t even name them all but I will cherish every last one. Beautiful girl - it's hard for me to find the words to express the sadness I feel. Your family has been so special to me, and it all started in the mid 90’s when I was hired as your Dad's Executive Secretary. If not for that opportunity, I wouldn’t have met you. You were only a teenager at the time, but I developed a wonderful friendship with your parents and Aunt Kerri, and throughout the years, you grew into a beautiful lady with an even more beautiful soul. But how could you not? Girl, you come from some of the best stock around! The loss of your Mom hit me hard, and I wasn't able to be at her Celebration of Life to celebrate one of the most genuine humans this earth was blessed with. The loss of you hits hard as well so there’s no way, no how I'm missing yours. I guess I'll have to celebrate you two beautiful ladies at the same time, and that brings a little peace to my heart. Hug your momma and smooch your baby boy for me. Heaven gained a trio that will forever be loved and missed by so many. Let your spirit be free, sweet Jacks. And let your light shine bright, just like it did when you were here with everyone. Love, Missy

I met Jackie for her spiritual believes she contacted due to the loss of her son. I helped ease her pain I'm a psychic medium and helped moon reach dex a few times to ensure her that he was ok due to the way he passed. I knew of her illness though she didn't divulge it to me. She longed to be with dex. I myself am a cancer survivor. The pain a parent experiences losing a child does not go away I felt moons pain. I tried comforting moon thru my gift moon was a great mom and unique individual. I often think of her as I have one of her prints she sold me. Miss you Sophia Bierman 💝
