Debra Dawn Cooper-LaBrosse

MADISON - Debra Dawn “Deb” Cooper-LaBrosse, age 70, of Madison, passed away on Monday, December 2, 2024. She was born on February 14, 1954, in Madison, the daughter of Donald and Grace (Kraehnke) Cooper.

Debra graduated from La Follette High school in 1972. She worked as a trainer for Verisk for over 20 years. Debra met Noah Powell in 1991.

Deb loved her family and her two cats, Lucy and Billy. She enjoyed photos of her family and traveling to Florida in the winter. Deb and Noah were avid campers and loved testing their luck at the casino with her good friends, Debbie and Sandy.  She loved watching eagle cameras from California and Florida and streams of fisher and sailor main coon cats. She was a loyal Chicago Cubs fan. In her younger years, she played softball and pool, and she was an avid bowler.

Debra is survived by her significant other, Noah; two sons, Todd (Stacy) Cooper and Steven (Ricky) Cooper; daughter, Melissa LaBrosse; five grandchildren, Mikayla (Marty), Dylan (Mackayla), Trevor (Kenzie), Elias (Del) and Samantha (Micheal); two great-grandchildren, Ryder and Audrey; and many close friends and other family members. She was preceded in death by her parents, Grace and Donald; and three brothers, Duane, Gary and Darwin.

A memorial service will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL AN CREMATION CARE, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, at 1 p.m. on Saturday, December 28, 2024. Burial will be held at Union Cemetery (Jefferson, Wis.). A visitation will be held at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Saturday. The family invites you to honor Debra by wearing the color purple or Chicago Cubs gear.
