Obituary
MADISON - Steven Edward Cloyd, age 65, passed away Saturday, November 30, 2024, at University of Wisconsin Hospitals and Clinics after a brief illness. Born on January 1, 1959, to Edward and Helen Cloyd of Madison, Wisconsin at St. Mary's Hospital.
Steve was a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison with degrees in History and Library Science. At the time of his passing he was employed for over 10 years by the State of Wisconsin Department of Corrections in Oregon, Wisconsin as a part-time clerical. Although afflicted with Parkinson's Disease and Anorexia, an eating disorder, Steve never let his illness interfere with his love of life and love of his family. Steve is survived by beloved twin brother, George of Madison, by cousins Thomas Lalor (wife Mary), Kathy Lalor Burger (husband Jim) of Monona, Jim Froning (wife Jeri) of Rockford; and by many good and close friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at OUR LADY QUEEN OF PEACE CATHOLIC CHURCH, 401 S. Owen Drive, Madison, at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, December 10, 2024, followed by burial at Resurrection Cemetery, 2705 Speedway Drive, Madison. Visitation will be held at the church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the Mass on Tuesday.
