Obituary
MADISON - Anne Leslie Quamme, age 65, of Madison, passed away on Friday, November 29, 2024, at Agrace HospiceCare. She was born on January 4, 1959, in Elizabeth, N.J., the daughter of Jack and Ruth (Messaros) Schoninger.
Anne received her associate degree in social work from MATC. Anne married Gary Quamme on March 30, 1996, in Madison, Wis. She worked as a payment specialist for National Guardian Life.
Anne was a wonderful mom and loved being a grandma. She loved her grandchildren and spending time with them. Throughout all of the twists and turns of her life, Anne was generous, organized (her life all in files) and was an amazing planner, and even had activities laid out for the whole family while on vacation. She loved reading, as evidenced by the large collection of books throughout her home. Anne enjoyed watching old movies and listening to her favorites, Rod Stewart and Whitney Houston. She was a great cook and baker and loved birds, always quick to refill the bird feeders so they never went hungry.
Anne is survived by her husband, Gary; children, Jason (Glady Fortney) Schoninger and Jennifer Schoninger; stepchildren, Tara (Tony) Pena and Ryan (Kate) Quamme; nieces and nephews; granddaughters, Anna, Ivy, Elaina and Dani; step grandsons, Beckham and Nolan; and sisters, Laurie Flom and Susan (Fred) Seiler. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Ruth; brother, Paul Schoninger; and brother-in-law, Wayne Flom.
A memorial service will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, at 12 noon on Friday, December 6, 2024, with a luncheon to follow. A visitation will be held at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Friday.
