Obituary
MONONA - Michael Lee Armstrong, age 74, of Monona, was born on March 7, 1950, and lived until November 26, 2024.
As a child he was fun-loving and protective over his family. As Michael became older, he was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Beloit, Wis., as a choir member.
He entered the U.S Marines on April 21, 1969. After completing his basic training at Camp Pendleton in California, he was deployed to Vietnam in November of 1969. He became a rank P3 rifleman. After completing his service, he came home, worked hard for many years and met a wonderful and exciting woman named, Kari Lee Fillner. They fell in love and married for 28 years.
Over the years, Michael worked incredibly hard building his home and caring for his incredible family, becoming a terrific cook and a grill king whose food was unmatched. Throughout his days, Michael would exchange many phone calls with his brother, Lance, especially during sports games. His other favorite things of enjoyment were spending endless hours hanging out with his amazing friends and family, taking anyone down in cribbage, watching old western movies, listening to great music, and enjoying a variety of sweet treats.
