Barbara Brandt

Barbara Alyce (Howard) Brandt, 81, passed away peacefully with her husband at Maplewood Sauk City, Wisconsin on Friday, November 22, 2024.

Barb was born on August 28, 1943, to Glen Harold Howard and Fern Geneva Hempel at Henricks, Minnesota. She was baptized and brought up in the Christian Home. The family moved to Mazomanie, Wisconsin when she was six years old. There she attended the local elementary school and graduated from Mazomanie High School in 1961.

She graduated from beautician school and worked with Chuck and Mary Cook in Lodi, Wisconsin for several years. Later when she was working at Germania Dairy Automation, Waunakee, she met Dennis Brandt and they were married a year later at St. Andrews, Middleton on July 3, 1980. They moved to Texas in 1982 and returned to Milwaukee in 1997. In 2001 they moved to Norfolk, Nebraska where she worked for HeadStart Program. They were members of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Norfolk. Barb was very active in the church with choir, Ladies Aid, Adult fellowship and helping with many children’s programs. Barb loved to scrap book, play cards and spend time with her friends.

She is survived by her husband, Dennis Brandt; brother, Roger (Michele) Howard; her sons, Shawn (Dee) Coyle, Tom Brandt, Steve (Sandy) Brandt, and Duane (Diane) Brandt; twelve grandchildren; four great grandchildren, and several beloved nieces and nephews.

She was proceeded in death by her parents, Glen and Fern Howard.
