STOUGHTON - Joan Caroll Sanderson, age 82, of Stoughton, passed away on Wednesday, November 13, 2024, at Nazareth Health and Rehabilitation. She was born on November 16, 1941, in Madison, the daughter of Lyle and Doris (Hornickle) Wollin.


Though Joan is no longer with us, the beautiful memories we shared will keep her alive in our hearts forever. She was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed, but her love will live on in those she touched. Joan was on her way to meet Brad and see the cottage he promised he would build, especially for her, may she rest in peace with him.


There will be no visitation services. The family is going to have a private memorial service.

I am so grateful for my time with Joan. Thank you for the honor of allowing me to be a part of her life. Her memory will always warm my heart with a good book and her thoughts of what might happen next and her laugh filling the room, her enjoyment for decorating and her great stories and pictures she always was willing to share, including her favorite famous place to eat the Innkeeper. Joan was my classmate and l have a memory to share. When she was little and her dad was in the service she and her mom stay with us for a bit and her and l used to fight over my dad's lap after having dinner. My sympathy to your family.
