Obituary
MCFARLAND - Deloris Cleora Morris, age 97, of McFarland, passed away on Saturday, October 19, 2024, at Agrace HospiceCare. She was born on June 3, 1927, in Beloit, Wis., the daughter of Hugh Curtis and Cleora (Purdy) Poff.
Deloris married Gerald Morris on January 4, 1947. She worked as a Bindery Worker for Litho Productions until retirement. She was a member of Risen Savior Lutheran Church in McFarland.
Deloris enjoyed spending time with her husband, family and friends at their trailer in Dellwood. She loved her trip on Amtrak with Judy to visit Carolyn in Vancouver, Wash. Deloris enjoyed her first plane trip with her husband and family to Japan to see Carolyn and family, creating many fond memories.
Deloris stayed active though she missed her husband dearly. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, feeding the birds and squirrels, playing bingo and shopping, always making sure to ask for a senior discount. Deloris especially enjoyed Fun and Fitness at the McFarland Senior Pool and going to lunch after swimming.
Deloris is survived by her special son, Gary (Barb) Morris; three special daughters, Judy Morris, Carolyn Morris and Debra Morris; sister, Patricia (Delbert) Insko; seven special granddaughters, Jenifer, Tammy, Heidi, Michelle, Janell, Amanda and Jeanette; two special grandsons, Ben and E. Michael; 19 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Gerald; and brother, Don (Margie) Curtis.
A funeral service will be held at RISEN SAVIOR LUTHERAN CHURCH, 5001 Holscher Road, McFarland, at 11 a.m. on Saturday, October 26, 2024. Burial will take place at Roselawn Memorial Park, with a luncheon to follow at the church. Visitation will be held at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Saturday.
