Obituary

MADISON - Lowell Henry Boehm, beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 1, 2026. He was born in Wausau, Wis., on April 14, 1938, to parents, Arthur and Margaret (Bower) Boehm.

Lowell graduated from Newman Catholic High School in 1956 and continued his education at Marquette University, where he earned a bachelor's degree. Lowell honorably served his country in the U. S. Army and Army Reserves.

In 1958, Lowell married Beverly Ann (Cline) Boehm in Wausau, Wis. Together they shared over six decades of marriage filled with love, music, and adventure. They sang in their church choir for 20 years and relished their time walking on the beach, dancing, traveling the world, and enjoying their cottage up north. Lowell found joy in golfing, fishing, and especially spending cherished moments with his family.

Professionally, Lowell was an accomplished account executive in the telecommunications industry. He was a valued member of Rotary and an active parishioner at St Bernard Catholic Church. Most recently, he has been a  member of St. Dennis Catholic Church for the past 5 years.

Lowell is survived by his wife, Beverly Ann Boehm; his sons, Michael (Barb) Boehm, Steven (Barb) Boehm and Daniel (Michelle) Boehm; his daughters, Diane (Jim) Mullen and Janet (Dan) Stempniak; grandchildren, MacArthur (Justine) Boehm, Lydia (Rory) Johnson, Devin Boehm, Benjamin Boehm, Bradley (Megan) Stempniak, Keegan Mullen, Marne Boehm, Sophia Boehm, Thomas (Beverley) Stempniak, Kieran Mullen, Emma Boehm, and Nicholas Stempniak; seven great-grandchildren; other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; and his brothers, Russell and Joel Boehm.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at QUEEN OF APOSTLES PARISH, ST. DENNIS CATHOLIC CHURCH, 505 Dempsey Road, Madison, at 11 a.m. on Thursday, October 8, 2026, with Father Gary Krahenbuhl presiding. Visitation will be held at the church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the Mass on Thursday.

The family extends their heartfelt thanks for the support and kindness they have received during this time.

I was saddened to learn of Lowell's passing. A strong man of character, faith, and family. Was honored to have known him, and will be missed. My deepest sympathies to Bev and the family.
