Annie graduated from St. Mary’s School of Nursing in Rochester, Minn. in 1963. She married Dale Longley on October 18, 1969, in Madison, Wis.

Annie worked as a nurse for several years before she and Dale became co-managers of the Reedsburg Country Club restaurant.  They eventually went on to own Longley’s Restaurant and Shortley’s Lounge in Reedsburg, Wis.

She enjoyed her daily walks, reading books, golfing and baking (especially apple crisp, pumpkin rolls and cookies). In her free time, Annie volunteered at the Messiah Lutheran Church in their Senior Adult Ministry (SAM) program and at the local food bank. She loved helping others in any way she could. Above all else, she loved spending time with her family and her grand-puppies.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dale Longley; sister, Donna Hibbs; son-in-law, Garrett Ninneman; brother, Bill Hotovec; and granddaughters, Brooklyn and Savannah Longley.

I'm at Annie in 1962 when we were both student nurses at St Mary's Hospital. After graduation we live together for a year and a half and then she moved to Madison and I followed shortly after that. The man that we married were friends and coworkers at the Avenue Bar and we remained friends throughout our married lives. They would stop often on holiday weekends on their way home to Reedsburg from Grafton and we would play cards. We remain friends for as long as I can remember. I will miss her dearly. She was like a sister to me. Rest in peace in the arms of God my dear friend.
