Obituary

MADISON - Sherri Lou Hatleberg, age 67, of Madison, passed away on Sunday, November 3, 2024, at her home.  She was born on May 11, 1957, in Madison, the daughter of John Paul and Lorena (Woods) McNamara.

Sherri graduated from East High School in 1975. She was united in marriage to Guy Hatleberg on April 26, 1994, in Las Vegas. Sherri worked as a trainer for John Deere Financial for 30+ years, retiring in 2022.

Sherri was very family focused and was a mother to not only her two boys, but to their friends as well. She was always supportive and loved volunteering to help with school events such as chaperoning field trips and cooking pancakes for the school honor roll breakfast.

Sherri loved the holidays and celebrating anything to bring the family all together. She was incredibly outgoing and loved talking with people. Sherri was always thinking about how she could keep her family comfortable and feeling incredibly loved. Even throughout her medical treatments she was thinking of ways that she would be able to support her family in the future.

Sherri will be deeply missed by her husband, Guy; sons, Patrick (Heather Ross) and Keith; sisters, Pam (Mike) Farrell, Terri McNamara and Gail (Russ) Wight; brother, Dan McNamara; sisters-in-law, Sue Whitish and Carol McNamara; nieces, Melissa (Tim), Erin (Mitch), Shannon and Mariah; and nephews, Shane, Max (Dana), Ross and Jason (Tammy). She was preceded in death by her parents, John Paul and Lorena; brother, Jerry McNamara; sister, Colleen McKendry and her husband, Tom; and her great-nephew, Tyler.

How lucky we were to have you. You brought laughter and joy wherever you were. You could find laughter in the worst of circumstances. You were so brave and loved your family so much. Your concern was always for them. I will never forget the fun times we had and will still keep our silly secrets. I will miss you forever.
