This was taken on June 3 of this year when visiting Jim. I told him he looked handsome he needed to have his picture taken. A fun selfie memory! Sister Shirley

I am so blessed to have spent what I did not know at the time would be Jim's last Christmas Day and New Year's Day. I will forever treasure my memories at St. Mary's Hospital with Jim on Christmas Day 2023 for mass, lunch and watching the Green Bay Packers and; on New Year's Day 2024 watching the Rose Bowl Parade, lunch, and WI Badgers football. Thanks big brother Jim for all the wonderful times together from my childhood through adulthood! You always looked out for your baby sister Mary!

I have a second memory to share which is very dear to my heart as it includes a shared memory with our mother "Flo" and our sister (Shirley). I have a lot of memories of my BIG brother Jim from a young grade school kid, to a young woman in her twenties leaving home for the first time and starting a career, to a more knowledgeable adult. But, the one memory that will always be with me is when Jim drove out to Maplewood Nursing Home on his birthday in 2008 and brought Mom into my house on Crescent Road to support me at my most difficult time saying goodbye to my beloved Sadie as she crossed the rainbow bridge. I have that memory in my head and I think about it every year so vividly as I see Mom sitting there with Sadie giving her an ice cube as we, including Shirley, waited for Chris Voss, our nephew--in-law, to come and administer Sadie's resting peace. I told Jim last Friday night, as much as he did not like dogs, Sadie would be there waiting to welcome him with open paws and wet kisses along her side with Dusty and Dakota. Mom, Dad, and David, and many other aunts; uncles and cousins are there welcoming him to his eternal home where they will share many memories. This time is not sad; it is happy because the feelings that I have been blessed to have had Jim as my brother and for the gratefulness that he no longer has to suffer. Saying goodbye it's not easy especially to my oldest brother and the first of siblings, but he'll never be forgotten. You were and will always be loved! Your baby sister. Mary
