Mr. Kennedy attended every home and away women's basketball game at MFHS, where I played from 2009 to 2013. He was a constant presence that I looked forward to seeing after every game. Mr. Kennedy even traveled to Ohio when I played college ball to watch my team and our opponent (he knew the head coach) play. He was always so kind and a joy to be around!

I knew Jim during our shared years of service in the School District of Menomonee Falls, and appreciated his consistently friendly, quiet, calm, steady demeanor, and his interest in students, especially in following kids involved in athletic endeavors. Once, on a cold spring morning at Lake Wingra in Madison, my wife and I came across him watching a regatta in which our son’s Minnesota crew team was competing with the Wisconsin team. We were reminded of the value of his interest in, support of and commitment to student athletes. Thanks, Jim. May he rest in peace.
