DEERFIELD - Barbara A. Bentz, age 70, of Deerfield, passed away on Monday, October 28, 2024, at UW Hospital and Clinics. She was born on April 12, 1954, in Madison, Wis., the daughter of Donald and Joan (Stai) Bentz.
Barb graduated from La Follette High School with the class of 1972. Over the years, she worked in a variety of occupations. She especially enjoyed children and working at a day care center. Barb was a kind person, always willing to help others. She loved spending time outdoors and being with her pets. She was very social and enjoyed time with friends and family, especially her nieces and nephews.
Barb is survived by her significant other for over 40 years, Thomas Knorr; brothers, Michael (Kathy) Bentz, Terry (Marlene) Bentz, David (Dena) Bentz and Daniel Bentz; and many nieces, nephews and close friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; a special aunt who raised her, Arlene "Archie" Bentz; and her sister, Heidi A. Scalissi.
