To my neighborhood best friend:
It was a pleasure to be your neighbor and friend. I will miss our conversations about books and our lives. I will miss the summer weekends where a break from lawn work meant catching up on what was new. I'll miss the days you would stop by to drop off the MSCR catalog so my daughter could take a look and sign up for activities. I'll miss scolding you from across the road telling you "climbing on that ladder isn't safe!" I'll miss taping snowflakes to your window around Christmas. I'll miss stopping over to share a meal. I'll miss you. Rest easy my friend.
