David Bruce Engen

Stoughton - David Bruce Engen, age 70, of Stoughton, passed away on Thursday, Oct. 3, 2024, at Meriter Hospital. He was born on June 26, 1954, in Madison, Wis.

David graduated from Madison East High School. He proudly served in the U.S. Army from 1972 to 1974. On March 20, 2012, he married Maria Luisa Lomocso Engen (from the Philippines) in Madison. Prior to retirement, David worked for the City of Madison for 28 years as a bus driver.

In his free time, David enjoyed watching the Packers, fishing, playing the guitar, and serving delicious food cooked on the grill. He had a good sense of humor and liked telling jokes and making people laugh while driving his bus.

David is survived by his wife, Maria Luisa Engen; daughters, Madison Engen and Arianne Engen; other relatives; and many friends. He was preceded in death by his mother and father.

A funeral service will be held at Gunderson Stoughton Funeral and Cremation Care, 1358 Highway 51 N. Jackson St., Stoughton, at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 9, 2024. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service on Wednesday.
