Obituary

OREGON, Wis. - On Thursday Sept. 19, 2024, we lost the heart of our family. Lois Yvonne Keenan, age 92, passed away at Agrace HospiceCare in Fitchburg, with her family by her side. She was born on Oct. 15, 1931, in Madison, Wis., the daughter of Glen J. and Evelyn B. Campbell.

Lois was united in marriage to Paul L. Keenan on Feb. 17, 1951. They enjoyed 62 years of marriage until Paul’s passing in 2013.

Lois wore many hats in the family as a homemaker and later worked outside of the home. She held positions at Community National Bank and then the Wisconsin Department of Revenue for 14 years. After her retirement she enjoyed traveling and long car rides, gardening and baking. Lois also liked making hardanger and cross stitch art, creating many beautiful pieces. Most importantly, she enjoyed the time spent with her family. Lois was a dedicated, caring and faithful woman. She was a lifetime member of the Holy Mother of Consolation Catholic Church.

Lois is survived by her son, Michael; daughter, Lisa Keenan; grandchildren, Nickolas (Jennifer) Keenan, Bradley, Erica and Mark Keenan; great-granddaughters, Olivia and Charlotte Keenan; daughter-in-law, Nancy Keenan-Bromeland; sisters, Loraine Zeier, Kathleen Keller and Kay Layman; brother, James (Nancie) Campbell; and nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her sons, Steven and Kevin; and grandson, Jeremy Keenan.

Private family services will be held. Burial will take place at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Oregon.

Thank you to Agrace HospiceCare for the compassionate care.

Lois will be forever missed and never forgotten. Rest in peace mom. We love you.
