John W Pike

MIDDLETON - John William Pike, age 64, of Madison, Wis., left his tired and broken earthly body to be at rest with his Lord on Thursday, Sept. 19, 2024.

John was the fourth child of five born to James and Shirley Pike. He was born on March 4, 1960, in Madison.  John was a reserved and kind-hearted child whose sensitive spirit made him empathetic to those around him. He was a good listener and truly cared for others. He graduated from Bob Reeve High School in Adak, Alaska, and eventually settled in Niagara Falls. He moved to Madison in 1999 and worked as a stock clerk for Copps grocery for many years.

John struggled with depression and self-confidence issues for most of his life and sought solace in a bottle. Despite his struggles John strived to be a hard worker, a good friend and brother, and a loving father to his sons.

John was preceded in death by his parents, Jim and Shirley; sister, Theresa; and brother, Randall. He is survived by his sons, Christopher (Allison) Pike and their children, Kayley and Brandon; and Benjamin (Leilani) Pike.  He is further survived by his brother, David of Chang Mai, Thailand; sister, Diane Bock of Tucson, Ariz.; and multiple nieces, nephews and cousins.
