Robert Tadeusz Jarosinski

CROSS PLAINS - The family of Robert T. Jarosinski of Cross Plains is saddened to announce his passing on Monday, September 16, 2024, at the age of 42 years.

Rob was born on May 25, 1982, in Chicago, IL, the son of Marek and Elzbieta (Kobielska) Jarosinski. He grew up in Thorton, Colorado.

Rob’s boundless enthusiasm made him an enigma to many, but the irony was that his life’s motto was always simple: If you have an idea or dream, you should find the courage to chase it. For any of us who needed a nudge to get started, Rob was always there to help. To those who were fortunate enough to know him, his legacy will always be that he truly believed in all the possibilities the world can offer us. Rob’s ultimate superpower was his ability to help you to see your potential, especially for those who struggled to believe in themselves.

Rob dedicated his life to collecting new experiences, and what he loved most was sharing them with the people he cared about. He was remarkably kind and generous and dedicated his life to finding every opportunity he could to support his family and friends.

Rob spent his early years dabbling in every new opportunity that came his way. If Rob tried something new, whether it be going out for the tennis team, running for class president or driving to Vegas with his friends and Dad to film a movie, you could always be sure he’d strive to be the best at it.

After high school, Rob’s desire for achievement took him to Northwestern University, where he studied film and communications. After graduation, he went on to work in international business and traveled through Asia. He always said his only regret of his early 20’s was not having somebody to share his experiences with.

Rob’s next job brought him to HSBC where he would meet Carrie, and the pair would quickly become inseparable. Rob didn’t waste any time in roping Carrie into all of his schemes. The pair started a guitar/cello duo and talked their family and friends into coming to their shows in downtown Chicago. Rob later went on to release an album on his original songs. Together, he and Carrie traveled the world and tested out every trendy restaurant they could find.

After only a few months, Rob not-so-secretly purchased an engagement ring, though Carrie advised Rob that she would say “no” if he proposed before the couple had dated for a year. Exactly 365 days later, the couple flew to Seattle, and Rob proposed at the top of the Space Needle.

Rob married the love of his life, Carrie Fredericks, on September 4, 2010, and a year later the two started a family. Together, they would have two beautiful daughters, Abbi and Alice. This next chapter of Rob’s life would be dedicated to bringing joy to their little family. There is no doubt in the minds of his girls that this would prove to be his most successful accomplishment.

Rob would later go on to reignite his passion for movies and create the online film community Alternate Ending and companion movie podcast where he debated the merits of movies with his wife and long-time college friend. His love of movies culminated the last few years as he produced several award-winning film projects of his own, a job that would ultimately bring to life the dreams of many new and lifelong friends.

Rob was deeply loved by so many, and energy he brought to our lives will be impossible to replace.

In addition to his wife Carrie, survivors include their daughters, Abbi and Alice; his parents, Marek and Elzbieta Jarosinski; father and mother-in-law, Ronald and Kay Fredericks; his sister and brother-in-law, Rebecca and Wade Kuhl; nephews, Andrew and Evan Kuhl. In additions, Rob will be missed by many loving extended family and friends.

A Visitation and Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, October 12, 2024.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 10 am to 12 pm with a memorial service and light lunch to follow.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to an education fund that has been established for his daughters, Abbi and Alice.
