Obituary

BELLEVILLE - Teresa A. Morgan, age 55, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, Aug. 23, 2024. She was born on Dec. 14, 1968. Teresa was married to Michael Morgan on Feb. 10, 2001, in Madison, Wis. She had three daughters, Alyssa, Peyton and Taylor. Teresa worked for Citgo Gas Station in Belleville, where she brought many smiles to her customers. She had the beautiful gift of meeting strangers who quickly became dear friends.

Teresa was a bright, kind person who lit up any room she was in. She enjoyed reading, cuddling with her cat and dogs, helping Michael with the flower gardens, and just being outdoors. She cherished the time she would spend with her daughters, even just simply being together and talking. She felt endless pride in them. Teresa took much comfort in the beach and ocean. She enjoyed her travels that she took to Florida and Jamaica and would frequently recount the joy she felt during those times. Teresa had lots of friends throughout her life whom she held dear to her heart. She was beloved by many in the community and left her mark on everyone she met.

Teresa is survived by her husband, Michael; daughters, Alyssa Lyerla, Peyton and Taylor Morgan; grandson, Damien; father-in-law, Jerry Morgan; and many brothers and sisters. She was preceded in death by her mother-in-law, Nancy Morgan; and brother-in-law, Shawn Morgan.

A celebration of life will be announced at a later date. Online condolences may be made at www.gundersonfh.com.

I have such fond memories of Mama T. From working with her at The Olive Garden and reconnecting at Sitel. This one hurts. RIP, my friend.

A extremely likable and helpful person as I stopped at Citgo often. Much too young to pass on.

I met Teresa many years ago in Madison, WI when we both worked at Chi Chi's restaurant. Little did I know that our paths would remain crossed for many years to come. We became fast friends as we both had the same sense of humor and liked to laugh....A LOT! Like many people we meet as we are finding our way through life, we lost touch. Thanks to FB we got back in touch years ago and stayed in touch thru social media. I still have a hard time trying to process the fact that she is gone, I didn't know there was anything wrong with her. My heart goes out to her daughters, husband, and other family members who will most definitely feel the loss more than anyone. Taken far too soon from this life. Fly high Mama T! πŸ’”πŸŒ΄πŸ±πŸΆπŸ’”
