Mary Lou Dreher

CONSTANTINE, Mich. - Mary Lou Dreher, age 94, of Constantine, passed away Saturday, Aug. 24, 2024, at her home.  She was born on Aug. 7, 1930, in Madison, Wis., the daughter of Sam and Elna (Christiansen) McGaw.

Mary graduated from West High School in Madison in 1948. On Aug. 27, 1948, she married Robert Lee Dreher in Dubuque, Iowa. He preceded her in death on Aug. 19, 1983. Mary worked as a nurse’s aide in Jackson, Mich., but mostly was a homemaker who loved taking care of her family.  Mary and Robert came to Constantine in 1974, previously living in Harrison and Southgate, Mich. She enjoyed playing euchre and an occasional glass of chardonnay.

Surviving is her daughter, Susan (David) Pisaneschi, Colo.; sons, James (Barb) Dreher, Portage, Mich., Jeffery (Diane) Dreher, Portage, Mich., and Bradley Dreher, Kalamazoo, Mich.; grandchildren, Andrew Pisaneschi, Marisa Pisaneschi, Tony (Tiffany) Pisaneschi, Danica Dreher, Leann (Mathieu) Bray, Hilary Dreher, Alyssa Dreher and Brendan Dreher; great-grandchildren, Bryce, Donny, Desmond, Caden, Evelyn, Gage, Julien and Elijah; and great-great-grandson, Colsen. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sister, Eileen Carlson; and brothers, Don McGaw, Stan McGaw and Ken McGaw.

Religious services will be held at GUNDERSON OREGON FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 1150 Park St., Oregon, Wis., at 11 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 30, 2024. Burial will follow at Prairie Mound Cemetery in Oregon. Relatives and friends will be received at the funeral home from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Thursday Aug. 29, 2024.
