I was blessed to have been acquainted to Ginger through the Diocese of Jefferson City Catholic Cursillo movement in Columbia, MO and of course meeting Gene as well. Ginger was always an inspiration to others and I was saddened to hear of her death but I’m positive there is a place in heaven as she continues to watch over her loved ones! Rest in peace dear Ginger!🙏🏻

I knew Ginger from our time together at the Newman Center. Our paths also crossed at Columbia Regional Hospital where she was supervising student nurses. I was sad when she and Gene left Columbia and am sad again to hear of her passing. Ginger left a positive impact wherever she went. She will be missed. Our condolences to Gene and their family. I thankfully have so many memories of Ginger, at Newman, Cursillo, and CASA. I admired her faith, concern for others, and how she freely shared her many gifts and talents. I loved hearing her speak about teaching and helping women be better parents. It didn’t matter if those women were in prison, Ginger offered Jesus’ mercy and love to them. She knew they and their children deserved healthy relationships with each other. Gene, you and your family have been, and will continue to be, in my prayers. Thanks for sharing your lives with us for 30 years. God bless and De Colores. Terrie Foltz

Ginger was an amazing nursing instructor. She pushed me outside my comfort zone to be the nurse I am today. As a nursing instructor I have used Ginger’s techniques and style of teaching to educate many students throughout my career. I thought of her frequently saying in my head “how would Ginger tackle this situation”. She was my mentor and someone I have respected, admired, and looked up to throughout my career. She expected the best version of you at all times!! Ginger you will be deeply missed but know your legacy lives on through all of the students lives you touched. You were an amazing nurse!!!
