MIDDLETON / CROSS PLAINS - Linda Louise Leese, 78, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Aug. 27, 2024, following a courageous battle with metastatic breast cancer. She was born on Feb. 16, 1946, to Helen and Gerald Hanold. She graduated from Webb High School in 1964.
Linda met Earl G. Leese, and they wed in 1965, going on to have five children, Nikolaus, Jennifer, Deborah, Barbara and Kristina. She worked as a riding instructor and eventually owner of Madison Dressage. She also worked for the Middleton-Cross Plains School District as a bus driver. Linda was passionate about horses and loved to travel. Later in life, she met her partner, Richard Williamson.
Linda is survived by her children, Nikolaus (Deanne Herrling) Leese, Jennifer Leese, Deborah (Shane) Kittle, Barbara (Tony) Grant and Kristina (Dan McMullin) Leese; grandchildren, Josh Leese, Bret Leese, Alexis (Tyler) Parsons, Bailey Kittle, Gabriel, Micah, Jeremiah, Isaiah and Lydia Grant; sisters, Mary Diamond and Sharon Milanovich; and her precious kitty, Meow Meow. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and her partner, Richard.
A memorial service to celebrate Linda’s life will be held at GUNDERSON WEST FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 7435 University Ave., Middleton, at 12 noon on Saturday, Sept. 28, 2024. A visitation will be held at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Saturday.
The family would like to thank Dr. Amy Stella and nurse, Sandi, at the Carbone Cancer Center and the staff at Agrace HospiceCare for their compassionate care during Linda’s illness. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Agrace HospiceCare.
