Oh Sara, our dear friend Sara-Ru (or Sarú). She was such a joy to be around! It's hard to find the words to express how much we love her, how we enjoyed our time living and serving together at YWAM-Chico... how she poured into our son as his first grade teacher, and all of our staff kids as someone who understood their needs; how served selflessly in the grounds department (making hot & sweaty work FUN!) plus in the kitchen, and housekeeping too. So many places we saw her Joy shine and light up the room, even in the midst of tough stuff. Most of all we consider Sarú a friend, a fellow midwesterner, kindred spirit. Our hearts, thoughts and prayers are with you Gary & Judy and Erin. Know that many friends around the country are lifting you up in this time. Know that the lives your daughter has touched are countless.
