Obituary
MADISON - Mikayla Lynn “Kayla” Rogers, age 25, of Madison, passed away on Friday, Aug. 16, 2024. She was born on Nov. 5, 1998, in Madison, the daughter of Michael and Diana (Meysembourg) Rogers, weighing in at 11.5 pounds with a full head of hair.
She graduated from LaFollette High School in 2017. After graduation, Kayla went straight into the workforce. She worked the last four years at Amazon in Madison, quickly working her way up to Process Assistant Manager. Despite her working third-shift, she always found time to have fun outside of work with all her friends and coworkers that meant so much to her.
Kayla loved caring for all the many pets she grew up with including frogs, cats, dogs, and her own Oreo (rabbit) and Diamond (cat). She also loved shopping for clothes and of course, shoes! She and her sister, Allison, would take old clothes to sell on consignment, so they could keep up with the trends, and always keep their wardrobe looking fresh.
Kayla enjoyed watching Disney movies, her favorite film was “The Little Mermaid,” and her favorite character was Eeyore from “Winnie the Pooh.”
Kayla loved going on adventures with trips to the Dells, Milwaukee, Chicago, or simply staying close to home going downtown in Madison for some food and drinks with friends. Payday Fridays you could find her at Ho Chunk Casino, hoping for the big win. Her love of games came from playing board games with her family, especially during the holidays.
Mikayla is survived by her parents, Michael and Diana; sister, Allison Rogers; brother, Dylan
“Mickey” Meysembourg; nephew, Nicholas Meysembourg; grandparents, Micheal and Darleen Meysembourg and Patrick and Carol Rogers; aunts, Debbie Meysembourg, Patti Rogers, Lorri Rogers and Linda Holt; and many cousins and friends.
A private celebration of her life will be held for her family and friends at a later date.
