MINERAL POINT - Dixie N. Knight, age 64, of Mineral Point, passed away on Monday, Aug. 12, 2024. She was born on Dec. 7, 1959, in Evansville, the daughter of Jehiel and Joy (Knight) Levins.
Dixie worked as a line worker for Oscar Mayer for 20 years. In her free time, Dixie found joy and solace in gardening and crafts. She was known for her profound spirituality. Her faith guided her through life's challenges and triumphs, and she embraced its teachings with unwavering grace.
Dixie is survived by her son, Calvin (Tara Cheatham) Knight; daughter, Carrie (Kevin) Meyer; six grandchildren, Nicholas Kienast-Knight, Tyler Knight, Abrianna Meyer-Knight, Veronica Cheatham, Issac Cheatham and Sofiya Ellison; sister, Dawn Levins; and nephew, David Mullikin. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jehiel and Joy Levins; sister, Della Levins; and nephew, Steven Mullikin.
